Well Hellos! Have had a rather productive day today, had an interview this morning for a hairdressing apprenticeship and I am delighted to announce that I have landed myself a trial, and assuming all goes well I shall be attending hairdressing school on weekly basis! Rather excited about it all.
I also received the delivery of stuff for my bath bomb making, so I had a go at creating some this afternoon. 🙂 Heres what we ended up with!
Hello one and all, so just a quick update to let you all know what I’ve been up to! Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and it was rather lovely, spent some time with my family and my other half 🙂 However on the downside I seem to have picked up a bit of a cold so it’s make way for PJs and Lemsip time 🙂 But that hasn’t stopped me to be rather productive with my Soap Venture, today I have created and Etsy Shop and already have my first customer, which is pretty awesome! Please, please, please visit it and treat yourself to some lovely bath time goodies! The shop is Jar of Stuff and can be found HERE!!! 🙂
Also I have ordered some more materials- some Bath Bomb ingredients, so they will be available soon and some more essential oils! 🙂 As well as more soap base, however this time I have opted for the SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulphate) free stuff which is meant to be much kinder to your skin 🙂 The essential oils I ordered are Jasmine, Bubblegum and Intensity as well as some Almond base oil 🙂 I have also bought some new moulds in shapes of flowers and bugs (very cute) and some paper bags for packaging 🙂
Today the postman brought me few more fragrance oils I had ordered for my soap making venture. So as my other half is working this weekend I decided to try them out this afternoon and I think I have some new favorites…
… my first ever homemade soaps! I am really chuffed with results. They smell gorgeous and look fantastic! I even tried mixing some perfume oils together to create some juicy cocktails. So in the end here’s what I produced today:
So the postman just knocked on the door to hand me a package I’ve been waiting for- a selection of cosmetic colours to make make my soap look even more appealing 🙂 I opted for a set package which comes with some cool shades!
These are concentrated so I should only need couple of drops, so hopefully they will last a while. And best of all they can be mixed to create some new shades…. Now a bit of red and blue for some royal purple shades maybe?! 🙂
Hello one and all! 🙂 So I’ve been playing with the idea of homemade soaps for a while now. An acquaintance of mine has been doing it for over a year now and posting endless snaps of her beautiful creations, and every single time there’s me starring at my computer monitor thinking- I want to do that. My love of soaps started when I was still a kid and discovered bath-time treats made by Stenders– back then it was a small company in Latvia producing the utterly gorgeous and divine smelling goods, however these days they have spread across the majority of Europe and trading well. However I feel that they seem to be losing their much loved image of a company that believes in traditional values and rustic presentation. I suppose with competitors like BodyShop and Lush, one would do anything in their power to push the business growth and profits. But in my opinion there’s nothing better than a rustic, homemade treat to spoil yourself and others!
So on that note I have received a delivery of some glycerin soap base and some divine perfume oils- it’s only a small selection to experiment with first but here’s what i picked!
